Create Photo ID with GIMP
1. use ractangle to size the photo.
a. measure head length in px ex : 1700
b. Required DPI = (Size of the head in Pixels)/(Size of Head in Inches)
to get req dpi 1552/1.33 =1166
c. The final photo will need to be 1.78"x1.78" 0r 4.5cm, so the size of the total image in pixels will need to be (Required DPIx1.78) x (Required DPI x 1.78) = 2075 x 2075
We will need to crop the our original image using these dimensions.
d. crop where + sign is right below the eye. (for approx req photo)
e. SCALE THE IMAGE TO 4.5CM WITH 300DPI
f. adjust color using
f1. level to set smooth background
f2. curve to get the right photo tone
CHECK IF THE MEASUREMENT IS RIGHT
save image :
USE script-fu -> photo ->IDphoto to set printer
Notes :
